Celebrating 2010
A Mass in Westminster Cathedral marked the end of the 400th Anniversary Celebrations.
Later in the same year Pope Benedict XVI made a state visit to Britain where he gave thanks to God ‘for the life and work of the Venerable Mary Ward.’
Recognising Mary Ward’s legacy, Pope Benedict XVI declared her ‘Venerable’.

The new ultra -green Ellis and Kennedy building, Loreto Sixth Form College, named in memory of the early pioneers of Loreto education in England, was opened in June 2010.
The old buildings are demolished and a new purpose-built college is constructed on the site.
