Ex Loreto Student and now University of Mount Olive men’s lacrosse student-athlete Tim Collins was selected to represent England in the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse World Lacrosse Championships, it was announced by the English Lacrosse Association.

Collins, a midfielder from Manchester, was selected as part of the 23-man roster to represent the nation of England at the world championships in July 2018 in Israel.

The sophomore has previous experience at a World Championship after being a part of the England Under 19s squad at the 2016 U19 World Championships in Coquitlam, Canada.

During his first year at Mount Olive, Collins played in all but one match collecting five goals, four assists, and nine points helping the Trojans to an 11-5 season in 2017.

The England National team will compete at the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships July 12-21, 2018 in Netanya, Israel. As many as 50 countries are expected to compete making the World Event the largest of all-time, according to the FIL.
