15 Loreto students have met their offers to study at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The successful students came to Loreto Sixth Form College from a range of high schools in Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Oldham.
Year on year, Loreto graduates go head to head with thousands of applicants from all over the globe and succeed. This achievement is no easy feat, it requires an extensive amount of work and commitment from students as well as support from Loreto staff. Students with ” Oxbridge ” potential at Loreto are offered a bespoke programme designed to develop each student`s debating and thinking skills by an in-house team of specialist teachers who have decades of experience preparing students for their December Entrance Examinations and intensive selection interviews. Academic staff from both Universities regularly visit Loreto to deliver subject specific classes and application seminars.

Their hard work and commitment throughout their time at college has enabled these exceptional young people to achieve their own personal dream. The range of subjects is also an indication of the staff expertise that exists across the curriculum offer at Loreto and I would like to take this opportunity to commend all those who have taught, motivated and supported these students and hundreds of other students to achieve their goals. We look forward with interest to hearing about their future successes”
