Editing Club is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art post-production and non-linear editing software, such as Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Through learning techniques such as cutting, trimming, adding transitions, effects, and colour correction, you will gain the skills to shape footage into compelling narratives that tell a story, enhance understanding, and engage the audience.
About Editing Club
Editing Club is for anyone with an interest in video editing who wants to build a creative portfolio for university and apprenticeship offers or to get a head start on a career in the creative media industry. Over the course, you will:
- Create a portfolio website page to showcase your editing skills.
- Create multiple short videos based on different briefs using pre-filmed footage.
- Create a video to accompany a piece of creative writing work from the Creative Writing enrichment.
- Potentially compete in FilmSupply’s EditFest (an online editing competition to create an advert, title sequence or trailer with incredible prizes available).
Where & When?
We are based in the Film & Media Editing Suites in E&K Building, allowing you access to the Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro and After Effects) and DaVinci Resolve.
