On Tuesday, 11th November, our Loreto College Basketball Team (pictured below) competed in the AoC Regional Basketball Tournament held at Manchester Metropolitan University. The event featured eight teams in a round-robin format, with each team playing seven games throughout the day.
After an intense schedule of back-to-back matches, Loreto finished with an impressive record of 4 wins and 3 losses. Victories came against Hopwood Hall College, Tameside College, Ashton College, and Priestley College. The highlight of the day was the thrilling double-overtime win against Priestley College—a nail-biting contest decided by strong defence and clutch shot-making in the final moments.
Congratulations to all the students who represented Loreto with determination and skill! The team’s next fixture is on 19th November, away at Tameside College.
Women’s Volleyball Team in Action
Our Women’s Volleyball Team also takes the court on 19th November, hosting Newcastle Stafford College Group in the second round of the Women’s Cup.
