Loreto students and staff have a proud tradition of supporting charities. Now the COVID restrictions have been relaxed, in early November Loreto College welcomed the return of Pink Thursday, a day when students and staff are encouraged to wear something pink, in support of the research and care charity, Breast Cancer Now. ‘Wear it Pink’ was not restricted to items of clothing, there were opportunities throughout the day where you could go and have your hair dyed pink, have your nails painted pink, and even have your face painted pink too! The music played during lunchtime was also pink-inspired, the College jazz band treated students and staff to a rendition of the Theme from the Pink Panther and the Pop Choir performed a medley of songs by Pink.

The driving force behind the Pink Thursday event is the College’s Head of Music, Mr Lloyd Mostyn, who has been supporting this cause for many years, and there is never a shortage of students willing to help out and contribute.

A great way to raise awareness and funds for a very worthy cause.
