Our Loreto Film Awards are a highlight of the academic year, showcasing the exceptional talent and creativity of our wonderful students. This prestigious and glamorous event saw our nominees, their friends and family, and assorted additional guests celebrate the diverse and imaginative moving-image and screenwriting work produced over the last year here at the college.
Our audience was delighted by a plethora of our best work spanning a range of genres, from compelling dramas and innovative experimental pieces to comedies and our first-ever jump scare award. Each film reflects the technical skill and artistic vision developed throughout the course and is brought to life by fantastically creative students.
Awards were presented across a variety of categories, including Best Film, Best Editor, Outstanding Cinematography, Best Screenplay, and this year, for the first time, our first ‘Pawscar’ to recognise the incredible performance of one of our canine friends.
The awards night is an amazing opportunity for our class of ’26 to see their hard work celebrated on the big screen. It also highlights the strength of our department and our commitment to nurturing creative and diverse voices. We couldn’t be prouder of our budding filmmakers!
