Joel came to Loreto from St Anthony’s Catholic College, enrolling on the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism course. He has achieved a triple Distinction star (D*D*D*) for his course, the equivalent of 3 A*s at A level and couldn’t be happier with his final grade. Teachers describe Joel as hardworking and determined with excellent powers of communication. It is not only in college where Joel excelled; he is now working as a member of Cabin Crew with RyanAir and has also excelled on all his training courses. He has three weeks of air travel under his belt already!
Joel’s success story is one of many at Loreto, but what contributed to his success is his contribution to the college community during his time at Loreto. He was an active member of the chaplaincy, leading groups and working with others for charitable ventures both in college and further afield. He also performed in two college musicals, Elf and Legally as well as the several concerts as paprt of college choir. Joel says:
“getting involved in so many other things at the college really improved my confidence and inspired me to work hard in everything, it’s been really great”
Joel has thrived at college and would recommend the BTEC Travel & Tourism course and the college to any other student who aspires to working in the tourism sector. He is looking forward to his future adventures.
