Loreto Students Appointed to Prestigious Youth Leadership Roles

Loreto College is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two of our students, whose dedication, compassion and commitment to service have led them to remarkable youth leadership positions within their communities.

Betws Redgrave has just been inaugurated as the tenth Youth Mayor of Salford in the city’s centenary year. Betws said: “I am incredibly honoured to be the tenth youth mayor of Salford. As Youth Mayor, I promise to listen to the voices of the young people around me and represent their views to the best of my ability. This year I will work hard to ensure every young person in Salford knows their voice counts, their ideas matter, and that together we can make a positive difference to our city”.

We also extend our warmest congratulations to Jasmine Kwok, who has been successfully elected as the Youth MP for Bolton. Jasmine’s passion for giving young people a voice in local and national conversations to shape a fairer, more inclusive society is an inspiring example of leadership in action.

Jasmine said: “Being elected as Bolton’s Youth MP comes as a genuine surprise, and I am so grateful for all the trust young people have placed in me. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has participated in the voting process and I’m really looking forward to getting started”
