Iftar at Loreto College

“I want to emphasise the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and support within our community. Reflecting on my own experiences upon arriving at Loreto College, I remember experiencing a sense of community and accepting diversity. Let us continue to extend such gestures of hospitality and care to one another, creating a more cohesive and nurturing environment for all. Let us reaffirm our commitment to interfaith dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect. Together, we can build bridges of understanding that transcend differences and unite us in our shared humanity.”
Semra, Loreto student

Loreto College hosted its annual Iftar, to celebrate the evening meal when members of the Muslim community break their fast during Ramadan. The College were pleased to welcome about 100 students and guests from the local Mawlawi Centre who joined us for the prayers and shared food. The students who attended deserve recognition for their generosity in donating delicious food to share. It was wonderful to witness members of our college and local community come together and enjoy this special occasion. This event brought to life our college values of Sincerity, Freedom, and Joy.
