Year 6 Students from Holy Name Primary school chose Loreto College for the fourth year running to host their Year 6 graduation. The 16 students prepared a showcase to perform to their friends and families. The class showcased their steel pan band, a dance to the hit song ‘Shut up and Dance’. There was then unison singing of John Legend’s ‘All of Me’, and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See you Again’.  The children performed with such pride, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Following the showcase came the graduation ceremony itself. All students donned graduation gowns and mortar boards and were presented with a scroll of certification to mark the end of their Primary School journey. All pupils have written a cherished memory about their time at primary school, many citing the wonderful teachers and the opportunities presented to them.

Mrs Gordon, Executive Headteacher writes:

“Just wanted to say a huge thank you on behalf of the parents, children, staff and Governors at Holy Name RC.  As always Loreto College provided us with a fantastic buffet and venue for our end of year Graduation.  Thanks to everyone at the college who helped to support the event.  We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the effort you put into making the event run so seamlessly and for taking time out to support our community. The parents and childrn have not stopped talking about the evening and it was a fitting farewell for our Year 6 children.  See you this time next year.”
