A2 Music student Sarah Spencer has been chosen to be part of a prestigious event taking place at the Southbank Centre, in London, as part of the celebrations for International Women’s Day on March 8. The Southbank concert is one of a series of performances designed to highlight the contribution of women composers and women in music generally. Ex Manchester High School pupil Sarah is an accomplished pianist and harpist but on this occasion will be demonstrating her virtuosity by performing on a synthesiser. Needless to say, A2 student Sarah, who has been offered a place to study Music at Oxford University next year, is anticipating the event with great excitement and looking forward to making her Radio 3 debut!
