Subjects Studied at Loreto: A Level Politics, A Level History, A Level English Literature

Reflections on Loreto:

“I loved my time at Loreto. My teachers role modelled to me the values of selflessly serving others. I really enjoyed my courses: we were taught to think curiously and widely about everything we were learning. Beyond just teaching the A Level curriculum, my teachers encouraged me to find what I love doing, work hard at it, and have the confidence to fully pursue it upon leaving Sixth Form. It was such a happy time and I left with very close friends and feeling inspired to work in education myself”.

After Loreto:

“After Loreto, I studied Social Anthropology (HSPS) at the University of Cambridge, where I particularly focused on researching my mother’s homeland Ukraine, cultural heritage, and experiences of war and displacement . Following graduating, I have been awarded the Choate Fellowship (2026-2027), a fully funded year to study postgraduate courses and work as a teaching assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. At Harvard, I will study at the Anthropology, Slavic Studies and Education departments. I am hoping to build a career around arts-based education with a particular focus on working with refugees. In recent months, I have been working on a theatre project as the Young Artist Resident at the artsdepot theatre in London, as well as volunteering with the charity ‘The Flying Seagull Project’ where I have been delivering circus and play-based workshops with Ukrainian refugee communities in Moldova”.
