Loreto students and staff raised over £300 for breast cancer research through the colour pink, music and song. The college choir, open to all students and staff who rehearse every friday under the direction of Head of Music Mr Lloyd-Mostyn sang a medley of songs to passing crowds at Loreto. Lining the stairway and foyer in Ellis and Kennedy building, the students, all dressed in pink sang their hearts out and brought smiles and foot tapping to all. The jazz band also performed a set of upbeat repertoire, with the annual performance of ‘The Pink Panther’.

Mr Price, Head of Performing Arts said “our students take such pride in the work that they do for charity. Having the choir and jazz band share their musical talents to support such a worthy cause was wonderful to witness’

The choir and all musical ensembles and singers are now busily preparing for the College Musical, ‘Chicago’ on 3rd-5th December and for the Christmas concert on 19th December at the Holy Name Church, Manchester. We look forward to seeing you there.
