Ex Loreto student Tim Collins has been making a real impression in the highly competitive world of lacrosse. Tim, who studied A levels at Loreto from 2013 – 15, is looking forward to representing his country in the Under 19 World Championships in Vancouver, Canada, this summer. Indeed, such has been his progress, the head coach of the England senior team has been keeping an eye on him, a very encouraging sign given that the Senior World Championships will take place here, in Manchester, in 2017.

It’s not all plain sailing for Tim, however; each member of the Under 19 squad has to raise £5000 to cover the cost of competing in Canada, and Tim and his family are busy finding ways to cover the expense. In addition, ex-Ashton-on-Mersey pupil Tim, has ambitions to take up a lacrosse student scholarship at an American university, with a view to developing his game still further, and needs funding before he can accept an offer from the states.
