Wear it Pink Day

ImageImageStudents are digging around in their wardrobes for bright pink clothes to wear on Friday for ‘Wear it Pink Day’ to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

As well as wearing pink there will be a host of events around college to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Activities include nail painting in the chaplaincy, henna menhdi tattoos, sponsored silences and a cake stall during period 3 and lunch.

Ms Henderson, who runs the college charities group, said she was optimistic that the day will raise a substantial sum for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

One in every nine women in the UK will develop breast cancer at some point in their life. Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the UK's leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education.

The money is donated to UK research hospitals to help find a breast cancer cure and improved treatments. Thousands of individuals who are diagnosed with breast cancer can benefit from the research that is going on to modernize and update treatments.
