Students Take to The Alps

ImageImageLoreto students have been hitting the slopes in the Italian Alps for a week’s skiing and snowboarding.  Students and staff stayed in Bardonecchia, the resort for the Winter Olympics in 2006 and enjoyed skiing the same slopes as expert slalom skiers.

ImagePE teacher Ms Gash, who led the trip, said the resort offered great instruction for both skiing and boarding and all students honed their skills throughout the week.  “But it wasn’t all ski, ski, ski, during the evenings students took part in many ‘Apres Ski’ activities, including Bowling, Quiz night and a trip to an authentic Italian Pizzeria,” she said.

ImageNathan Hanna, an Upper Six student studying English Language, Politics and Classics said: “The Loreto Ski trip was a great active holiday with plenty of slips, trips and laughs! I have been on the ski trips for the past two years and have enjoyed them so much I now plan to take a gap year in Whistler, Canada to train to become a ski instructor.”
