ParentPower Praises Loreto

ImageImageThe Sunday Times Parent Power database has identified Loreto College as one of the best sixth form colleges in the country.

The ParentPower information provided by The Sunday Times is intended to allow parents to search through the highest performing schools and colleges across the country, from primary level through to sixth form colleges and in both the private and state sectors.

The Sunday Times ParentPower tables rank sixth form colleges on their performance in public examinations in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The total number of level 3 points earned on average each year is aggregated to produce an overall three-year score for each college. Loreto’s outstanding pass rates have meant that the college is now recognised as being one of the highest achieving colleges in the country. Loreto is the only sixth form college in Manchester to be in identified in the ParentPower tables.

Ann Clynch CBE, Principal of Loreto said, “It is very gratifying that the college has received further, independent confirmation of the very good job it is doing! The college has continued to produce above average results year on year. It is very good that student and staff work is recognised in this objective database.”
