On Wednesday the 20th October, the new Chaplaincy Area at Loreto College was officially opened by the Principal Ms. Clynch. Over seventy students and some members of staff visited the Chaplaincy during their lunch hour to enjoy complimentary food and drink and to see what the new area looks like.
Ms. Clynch said a few words of welcome to everyone and explained that the Chaplaincy area is a space for all students to use. She also took the opportunity to remind the students that there are many activities and groups which are organised through the Chaplaincy at Loreto, and that more information can be found by talking to one of the chaplains.
Richard Howard, the full-time College chaplain said: “It was great to see so many students come to the opening of the new Chaplaincy Area, and especially nice that the students themselves decorated it for the occasion. I hope the message will spread that this new area is for all students to use and that the activities we offer are a great chance for them to meet new people and to explore their spiritual life while they are here at Loreto College.”
