'Monster' sell-out! College production a huge success.

ImageImageLoreto’s ‘monster’ sell-out production of a ‘Little shop of Horrors’ has been hailed a great success.

The fantastically high production values proved a great platform to expose the amazing talent and energy of students at Loreto.

ImageDirector, Miss Worthen paid tribute to the performers: “I am very proud of them for what they have achieved in making this project such a success.  The performances were heartfelt, hilarious, creative and upmost, completely professional!”

“We have an overwhelming amount of talent here at Loreto it has been a complete pleasure to work with such individuals who devote so much energy, passion and commitment to a very demanding project like this,” she added.

The show tells the story of a botanical genius, Seymour Krelborn who nurtures a strange plant to life by feeding it blood, which eventually grows to a gargantuan size and eats everything in its path!

Olivia Cramsie in the role of Audrey produced a comedic and endearing character through rehearsals but she was sadly taken seriously ill and could not perform. The role was taken over by Vita Fox, who performed with style which was particularly impressive as she had to learn the entire part in only a few days!

The role of the money grabbing Mr. Mushnik, the flower shop owner, was in the very capable hands of Sebastian Porter who created a cynical man of age with great skill. Playing the geeky botanical genius Seymour was Jack Deslandes who led the production with great aplomb.
