"Loreto in the top 1%” for Advanced Level Results

ImageImageALPS (the Advanced level Performance System) has undertaken its annual analysis of 1,109 schools’ and colleges’ advanced level results for 2007, 2008 and 2009. Loreto College is placed in the top 1% of colleges nationally.

The ALPS analysis looks at how students performed at GCSE, predicts what grade they should get as a minimum at advanced level then works out how well they actually performed. Loreto students in general Imageachieve one and a half to two grades better than you would predict based on their GCSE performance.

The ALPS analysis reflects this massive achievement. ALPS describes it as a “fantastic effort” which they agree is “well worth celebrating”.

Ann Clynch, CBE, college principal said: “It is impressive that such a well-regarded  external organisation as ALPS further verifies the extraordinary work carried on, day-in, day-out by staff and students. Their work produces the excellent results and grades, many of them at grades A and B, which generate this outstanding data.”
