Loreto students enjoy Alton Towers

With the sun shining 200 students travelled to the theme park in Staffordshire to celebrate the end of this year’s studies and assessments.

Senior tutor Mr Murphy, who organised the trip, said the day had been ‘wonderful’ and nobody had had to wait too long for the stomach-churning rides.

“The new ride, called “Thi13teen”, proved popular,” said Mr Murphy, “and as always our more adventurous students went in search of Nemesis and Oblivion,” he added. “The students behaved themselves impeccably and all in all this was a great day out and a well-earned break for those who had just finished courses or exams.”

The 18 Staff who accompanied the students also enjoyed the day and some even braved a few of the rides including Th13teen, which is the world's first vertical free fall drop roller coaster.
