The Dalai wanted to share his message following last year’s riots. He advised young people that the future is in their hands and up to them to make it a better one. The 76 year old spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism said, “My generation belongs to the twentieth century, it has already gone so my generation are ready to say bye bye. The twenty first century belongs to you.” He continued by saying that sometimes demonstrations and protests are necessary in order to change things, but they must always be non violent.

 

Students were entertained by Russell Brand’s humour, but were completely bowled over by the presence and spirituality of the Dalai Lama.
