An extravaganza of art and design will give the people of Manchester the first opportunity to see Loreto College’s new £20 million building.
More than 1000 people have been invited to the exhibition on Thursday (24th June) which will showcase the college’s thriving work in the arts.
Guests will also get the chance to see the new Ellis and Kennedy building which is the greenest and most energy efficient in Manchester.
Staff and students have been busy preparing for the show which will include a wide range of student work from photography, graphics, textiles, 3D design, media, film and art.
Mr Fordom, Head of Faculty of Languages & Arts said there is a frenzy of creative work going on and as the new building has the latest equipment to maximise impact.
“Innovative film footage of students work in textiles is being edited as we speak,” said Mr Fordom, “and there will be dramatized footage of students presenting their own film scripts, pop videos and inventive work from across the department.”
“However the most important part of this evening is the opportunity students are getting to showcase their talents. There is an awful lot of creative work being done and this exhibition is a chance for people outside the college to see just how brilliant it all is.”
