Building Your Future

The College opened its new ultra-green Ellis and Kennedy building before the summer break but over the holidays the existing Ball building has had a radical revamp.

Classrooms have been knocked through to create spacious teaching rooms for subject areas including science, maths, geography, history and sports studies. In addition there are four new labs and increased cafeteria space for staff and students to enjoy.

“There has been an enormous amount of work completed to improve facilities for staff, students and visitors,” said Premises Manager Mr McGee.

“The college now provides the best facilities for students so they can really get the most out of their studies while they are with us. We are providing a first class environment to match the first class learning and results that Loreto College achieves.”

The developments mean that Loreto has one of the most up-to-date campuses in Greater Manchester with modern labs, the latest media technology and energy saving measures including solar panels, underground heat transfer system, natural ventilation and a system to collect and use rainwater.
