Another trophy for the cabinet

ImageImageLoreto is celebrating after its 1st Team  footballers won the North West College Football Play Off Competition. The first team thrashed Cheshire-based Sir John Deane Sixth Form College 6-1 in the last match of the season. Mr Armstrong, who is the teacher in  charge of General PE at the college, said students and staff were jubilant with the result.

“The students were a credit to the college,” said Mr Pybus who is the 1st team football coach, “they played with passion, flair and a great deal of sportsmanship to bring more silverware back to the college.” 
 
Jordan Cuff scored two goals in the game with Alex Clarke, Fabio Abreu, Gareth Mooney and Joe Power all getting one in the net.

Mr Armstrong added the excellent result highlighted the resounding success of the college sports teams this year which shows the hard work of the college’s coaches is paying off.

·      North West College Football Play off Competition Champions (first team)
·      North West Southern Conference League Two Champions (second team)
·      North West League Three runners up (third team)
Basketball:
·      National champions (boys team)
·      National champions national runners up (girls team)
·      Both basketball teams are champions of the North West
·      North West Basketball Champions Runners Up – Basketball 2nd Team
Netball:
·      North West Southern Conference League One runners up.
